Production Example

This section shows an example of my production work using a recording from my band, Containers.

I’ve included two versions of the same section of the track to demonstrate my process and how the sound develops from recording to a more finished result.

The first example is the raw recording, where the tracks have only been balanced and panned. This shows the original microphone recordings and gives a clear idea of how the session sounded before any processing.

The second example is the processed version, where I’ve applied EQ, corrected polarity issues on certain microphones, and used high-pass filtering to remove low-end rumble. I’ve also shaped the overall tone using EQ to ensure it sits well with the bass, and added some stereo width to create more space and clarity in the mix.

This comparison shows how technical decisions during mixing can improve clarity, balance, and overall sound quality.
